REACH Analysis
REACH Analysis & Compliance Testing
REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) is a European Union regulation aimed at protecting human health and the environment from the risks posed by chemicals. Compliance with REACH is mandatory for substances, mixtures, and articles manufactured in or exported to the European Union.
Our REACH analysis services support manufacturers, suppliers, and exporters by assessing chemical substances against applicable REACH requirements. The analysis includes identification of regulated substances, screening for Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs), and verification of compliance with current EU restrictions and authorization lists.
Testing and evaluations are performed using validated analytical methods, applicable international standards, and in-house procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results. Our services help clients reduce regulatory risks, avoid product rejection, and maintain uninterrupted access to the EU market.
NovaSpec, the best RoHS testing laboratory in India, offers RoHS testing services for restricted substances in electrical and electronic products.
The EU RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) restricts the levels of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants to 0.1% or 1000 ppm (except cadmium, limited to 0.01% or 100 ppm). Manufacturers must provide due diligence documentation.
NovaSpec provides RoHS compliance product and material testing services through our laboratory in Bangalore, staffed with expert chemists and advanced instrumentation.
Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) was published in 2011 by the EU, known as RoHS-Recast or RoHS 2. It includes CE-marking requirements and added Categories 8 and 9, along with new recordkeeping requirements.
Directive 2015/863 (RoHS 3) added four restricted substances (phthalates) to the original six.
Parameters Tested Include:
- Lead (Pb)
- Cadmium (Cd)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI))
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
